This particular type of Citrine is actually Heat Treated Amethyst and is very common in the crystal community. The beautiful colour is achieved by placing Amethyst in a kiln or furnace, where it is gradually heated to high temperatures ranging from 400°C to 600°C.This slow and careful increase in temperature is crucial to prevent the crystal from cracking. During this process, the heat alters the iron content and other trace elements within the crystal’s structure, causing the purple hue of the Amethyst to shift to yellow, orange, or even reddish-brown, depending on the precise temperature and duration of heating. 
Once the desired colour transformation is achieved, the crystal is allowed to cool slowly to stabilise the new Citrine colour. Heat-treated Citrine often has a more intense and uniform colour compared to its natural form, displaying deeper shades of yellow, gold and orange.
