HISTORY 

Petrified Wood is formed when fallen trees are gradually buried beneath sediment and volcanic ash. Over millions of years, mineral-rich water flows through the wood, replacing the original organic material with minerals such as silica while preserving the tree's original structure and grain.
Petrified Wood is technically a fossil rather than a traditional crystal. Some specimens are so incredibly detailed that you can still see the original tree rings and cellular structures preserved in the stone.
